Tinna Grétarsdóttir

Tinna is the choreographer and artistic director of Bird & Bat. She trained and worked in Norway where she discovered the joy of performing for children. 

Tinna started the group Bird & Bat in 2011, and quickly started collaborating with Sólrún and Guðný in her explorations of making magic for the very young.

Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir

Sólrún is a cellist and composer who enjoys making music with fellow artists in the fields of music, visual arts, dance and theater. She works solo and as a member of the band amiina.

Sólrún is one of the founding members of Bird & Bat and has composed music for all their performances. The album Skýjaflétta with music from her childrens work was released in 2013.

Guðný H Sigurðardóttir

Guðný is a stage designer educated in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has worked in all of Bird & Bat's productions. 

Guðný has also designed for the welsh theatre group Volcano Theatre as well with choreographers Saga Sigurðardóttir and Valgerður Rúnarsdóttir to name a few.

Snædís Lilja Ingadóttir

Snædís Lilja is a dancer, actress and choreographer from Arts Academy of Iceland and Rose Bruford College in England. 

Snædís has worked with choreographers Valgerður Rúnarsdóttir, Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Steinunn Ketilsdóttir and Sveinbjörg Þórhallsdóttir, Silke Z (Cologne) and Iceland Dance Company. Snædís has danced in over 100 shows for Bird & Bat around the world.   

Inga Maren Rúnarsdóttir

Inga Maren completed her studies with a BA from London Contemporary Dance School, The Place, in 2006. She has since worked with a various companies and choreographers and is currently dancing with Iceland Dance Company.

Inga Maren also teaches David Zambrano movement technique, Flying low and Passing through, since studying with him in 2010.

Védís Kjartansdóttir

Védís graduated from PARTS in Belgium in 2012. In 2016 Védís finished MA degree in Applied studies in culture and communication at the University of Iceland. 

Védís has worked with choreographers as Erna Ómarsdóttir, Saga Sigurðardóttir, Bird & Bat, Xavier Le Roy, Martin Spangberg and others. 

In addition to dancing for Bird & Bat Védís assists with promotion and production.

Katla Þórarinsdóttir

Katla is a circus artist and a dancer with a MA degree from Laban, London.

Katla first joined Bird & Bat for the project Strange Feathers, a collaboration with the Irish group Fidget Feet. 

Valgerður Rúnarsdóttir joined Bird & Bat for the production SPOR and has toured to West-Iceland as well as giving workshopsin connection with the production.
