Strange Feathers

Fjaðrafok

Two little chicks must find their wings for the very first time. Join these little birds as they learn to fly and negotiate the world around them, gently coaxed from their nest by beautiful music while the audience sits around their nest, immersed in the action. Told with humour and a light touch, Strange Feathers mixes contemporary dance, aerial dance and live music in an engaging performance for the very young.

Strange Feathers is a collaboration between Bird & Bat and the Irish aerial dance company Fidget Feet. The performance is enriched with live music by Jym Daly from Fidget Feet in addition to a music score by Sólrún Sumarliðadóttir.

The standard of theatre for young audiences has never been better.

Sara Keating, The Sunday Business Post

The birds were interpreted by circus artists Aisling Ní and Katla and they were incredibly limber and strong and there seemed to be no limit to how they could twist their bodies ... The children became even happier after the show when they were invited up on stage to touch and test.

Silja Aðalsteinsdóttir, TMM, 19. September 2016
